Geneva born Stefan Röschert collaborated with Ateliers Jean Nouvel Paris and Skidmore Owings and Merrill New York before joining Diller Scofidio and Renfro architects. founding urbanautics in 2001 in Berlin and New York he extensively worked in the realm of branding as a strategist, consultant and designer for several New York and Paris based agencies, as well as in the commercial, residential and retail sectors.
a regular studio critic at Columbia, the Cooper Union, Pratt Institute and the TU-Berlin, Stefan Röschert has organized and lectured at series such as Engineered Transparency GSAPP, y2k?, Werkbund, Berliner Unterwelten, MN8 Los Angeles, darkpassage NY and Dupont. his work has been shown at Werkbund gallery, Gesundbrunnen Bunker gallery and MN8 gallery and has been published in Frame, Surface, Interior Design, Nylon and Dupont magazines as well as Ksubi and Taschen books.
educated in Berlin, Berkeley and Vancouver Stefan Röschert received his Diplom-Ingenieur in architecture with distinction at the Technische Universität Berlin after his studies at the Ecole d’Architecture de Paris Belleville and the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule in Zurich. he received his Master of Science from Columbia’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation in 2001 and is currently working towards his MBA in international real estate development. he has been the recipient of numerous prizes, amongst others the National Endowment of the Arts Grant, the Hospitality Award for Fine Dining, the AIA Excellence, Honor and Merit Awards, the Briand Stresemann award, the Erwin Stephan award, as well as the Fulbright, German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Rotary International Foundation scholarships.
